Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Rumours are being spread that petrol and diesel shortages may occur due to the ongoing war-like situation in parts of Asia. Citizens should not believe such rumours. The fuel supply in the district is functioning smoothly, and there is no reason for concern. People are advised not to trust unverified information circulating on social media, said district collector Deelip Swami while speaking to journalists on Wednesday.

He further clarified that no official communication has been received from the central or state government regarding any disruption in fuel supply to the district.

Sales officer at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Shashank Tiwari stated that fuel supply to the district is operating without interruption and has not been affected by the prevailing war-like situation.

There are a total of 373 petrol pumps in the district. Every month, they receive approximately 8,000 kilolitres of petrol and 5,500 kilolitres of diesel. Fuel is distributed to the public through these outlets, he added.
