Aurangabad, Feb 13:

Maharashtra's urban development (UD) minister Eknath Shinde today said that there will be no need to wait for the building permission from Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to construct upon a plot area of 1500 square feet under Unified Development Control Rules (U-DCR). While addressing the media persons at the district collectorate today afternoon, the urban development minister said, " The decision aims to curb the growing illegal constructions in the city and reduce red-tapism in the building permission. A person desirous of constructing upon 1500 square feet area should not wait for the building permission from the AMC. Instead, he should submit the building plan, pay the scrutiny fees to the town planning section (of AMC) and start the construction as per the submitted plan. Moreover, the civic administration is also instructed to grant permission in 10 days to a person desirous to start construction on a plot area of 3,000 square feet under U-DCR. GR of staffing pattern on Monday

Shinde declared that the government resolution (GR) regarding the new staffing pattern of AMC will be issued on Monday. It may be noted that the AMC had recommended the recruitment of 4,975 fresh posts (of various grades) under the new staffing pattern. With the GR's issuance, the strength of staff in AMC would be 9,081 sanctioned posts.
