Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve on Monday addressed a press conference, commenting on state politics, farmers’ issues and law and order.
He ruled out any “secret meeting” between chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray, saying there is no question of secrecy. He said MP Sanjay Jadhav’s absence from a meeting was due to personal reasons and should not be overread. Danve demanded a complete farm loan waiver, stating that farmers expect relief on their 7/12 extracts, and said the government must act on earlier BJP promises. He supported minister Pratap Sarnaik’s stand on Marathi and said farmer suicides reflect deeper environmental imbalance issues. He opposed criticism of Shivaji Kon Hota and rejected remarks that “Shivaji Maharaj was tired,” calling them unacceptable. He also criticised Bageshwar Baba’s statements, alleging misuse of religion for political purposes.
