Two-wheeler thefts continue at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) despite the presence of paid parking and Maharashtra Security Force personnel. On March 4, a moped belonging to staff nurse Surekha Pagar was stolen from the parking area near the medicine department after a thief broke the handle lock. Pagar had parked the vehicle before reporting for duty and discovered it missing when she returned around 2.30 pm. Paid parking was introduced a few months ago to curb frequent thefts, but the incidents persist. A case has been registered at Begumpura police station.
