City chowk police have exposed an alleged immoral activity racket operating under the guise of a spa centre in the city. Acting on a tip-off, the special investigation team raided Seventh Sense Spa and Beauty Centre, located on the third floor of 7 Apple Hotel in the Hudco corner area, around 9.45 pm on Monday. Four women were rescued and five persons were booked in the case.

The accused have been identified as spa owner Sunny Manore, manager Sarika Maral (Dattawadi, Pune), and customers Prakash Keshbhat (Deolai), Magaram Suthar (Aloknagar, Beed Bypass) and Devidas Padaswan (Narlibag). According to the complaint filed by police constable Pravin Tekale, police sub-inspector Sanjay Rathod received confidential information about illegal activities at the spa. Following instructions from assistant commissioner of police Sagar Deshmukh, a decoy customer was sent with Rs 5,000 to verify the inputs. After confirmation, the team led by police inspector Srinivas Roylawar and API Manisha Hivarale conducted the raid. During the search, four women, reportedly brought from West Bengal and Haryana for massage services, were found on the premises. Police said the spa was operating without a valid licence. Further investigation is underway.
