API Company was established few years after the establishment of the Chikalthana MIDC. This company was closed later now, but the Chowk in this area got the name as API Corner. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) had established a bus stop at this corner from where the workers go to various parts of the city to the Chikalthana MIDC area. The workers and the residents used to travel in buses from this bus stop for several years. However, the bus stop was demolished by the workers of the contractor, appointed by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) for constructing the road.

Now, several roads are available to enter the Chikalthana MIDC and buses were not stopped at this bus stop for the past many years. The stay animals used it as shelters. However, once this bus stop had immense importance at the API Corner. As the Cidco bus stop was established, this bus stop lose its importance. This area also become a residential hub now.
