A man released on bail in a child sexual assault case allegedly harassed a minor girl again, demanded sexual relations in public, and threatened to kill her. The incident occurred at Trimurti Chowk, following which Jawaharnagar police arrested Mangesh Ramesh Bavaskar (25), a resident of Nyaynagar, Galli No. 9.

The victim is a minor. Around 9 pm on Tuesday, she was walking alone to purchase study material when the accused began following her. He stopped her on the road in public and said, “I want to meet you and have physical relations with you. I like you very much,” creating fear and panic. When she tried to leave, he allegedly threatened her, saying that if she rejected him, he would ruin her education and kill her. He also warned that if she spoke to any boy, he would kill both of them. Not stopping at threats, he allegedly grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him, committing objectionable acts on the busy road. Police said he had earlier been booked and arrested under the POCSO Act at Pundliknagar police station in a child sexual assault case. After being released on bail in that case, he allegedly committed the offence again.
