Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The summer session examinations of polytechnic in Engineering and Pharmacy to be conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) will commence on April 24.

MSBTE Deputy Secretary Dr Devendra Dandgavhal said that a total of 2,04,901 students enrolled in short-term, polytechnic and D.Pharmacy courses would appear for the exams.

The exams, originally scheduled to begin on April 23, were pushed back by a day due to the Rahuri and Baramati assembly by-elections. Papers scheduled for April 23 will now be held on May 18. To curb malpractice, the board has deployed 145 flying squads this year.
