Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The work on a grand zoological park being developed at Mitmita over 100 acres of land at a cost of ₹250 crore under the Smart City Mission has reached its final stage. The project is expected to be completed by the end of March. With the support of a private company, around 7,500 trees have been planted at the site so far. However, wildlife animals from Siddharth Garden Zoo cannot be relocated until the trees grow sufficiently.

Project head Imran Khan said that the construction of the zoological park will be completed by the end of March. Under the guidance of the garden section, 7,500 trees have been planted. Over the next eight to ten days, work will begin on planting saplings and developing green cover. This work is expected to be completed by the end of February. A natural environment will be created only after the trees mature. Until then, it will not be possible to shift the wildlife animals from the zoo at Siddharth Garden to the new zoo.
