Hence these centres rushed to obtain the stock from the nearby centre. The AMC administered vaccine to 12,000 youngsters on the first day of the drive (Tuesday), said the AMC's health section.

The AMC has set up 69 vaccination centres. The vaccine was administered from 10 am to 4 pm. The registration was done on the spot on Cowin App. Long queues were witnessed at centres in Cidco N-11, N-8, Masnatpur, Jawahar Colony etc. The AMC has arranged 1,000 doses of vaccine at 38 centres, while 200 doses were arranged at the remaining 31 centres. The vaccination drive was implemented smoothly. Indeed the shortage of teachers was felt at few centres.

The health personnel were facing inconvenience due to the absence of Asha Workers. In this situation, the AMC's health section is planning to increase the number of vaccination centres. Meanwhile, an adequate quantity of vaccine is available in the AMC's stock, it is learnt.
