Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Amol, who bore the responsibility of his entire family on his shoulders, would leave for work every day at 5.30 am. Midway through his shift, he would return home around 9.30 am, prepare tea for his parents, check on their well-being, hastily eat his breakfast, and then head back to work. This was his daily routine. On Saturday, that rhythm of life came to an abrupt end.

At around 9.30 am, just before he could serve tea to his parents as usual, he received a call from the contractor summoning him urgently back to duty.

“For the first time, he left the house without drinking tea himself and without giving us any. And shortly afterwards, that phone call came. Our hearts trembled,” said his father, Dinkar Jadhav, breaking down in grief. Those present were moved to tears.

Amol is survived by his parents, his wife, and two young daughters. His three sisters are married. Although the family owns their home, the loss of their sole breadwinner has left them devastated and financially vulnerable. The sudden death of the hardworking and devoted family man has cast a pall of mourning over the Sanjaynagar area.

Amol was working as a sanitary employee in the Mukundwadi zone, he climbed up to remove a banner near a temple and was fatally electrocuted.

As Mahendra Shrikhande, Salve and Sopan Magre recalled memories of Amol, those gathered were reminded of the legendary tale of Shravan Bal, the dutiful son devoted to caring for his parents.
