Aurangabad, July 10:

Parens of college students feel that permission should be issued to reopen the colleges.

It may be noted that the State Government issued permissions to reopen the schools from eighth to 12th standard in Covid free villages from July 15.

Students, their parents and unions hope that colleges will also be reopened like schools. However, the Government has not said anything about’s reopening of colleges.

Parents have different opinions about the reopening of the college.

Some of them favour the reopening while others support the Government for not taking any decision about it.

A group of parents said that school students are obedient and will follow all instructions of teachers about Covid measures like maintaining physical distancing, use of sanitiser and washing hands while college students ignore the teachers' instructions.

Other parents think that most of the students above 18 years were vaccinated/

“The students did online classes for more than one and half years from home. Students, specially from the Science stream, need to do practicals in a laboratory. They are much aware of Covid measures,” the parents said.
