Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Due to the lack of political will, the city’s old Central Bus Stand (CBS-I) has long been waiting for new buses. As a result, passengers coming to the CBS are left with no choice but to travel in old and pathetic-conditioned buses. On the other hand, new buses are increasingly being added at the Cidco Bus Station (CBS-II) and Paithan Depot.

There is no political pressure for new buses to be provided to the CBS-I. On the other hand, continuous follow-up by political leaders has ensured the addition of new buses at the CBS-II and Paithan Depot. They have also received new buses in recent days. There is a dire need for political leaders and representatives to raise their voices to secure new buses for the station.

From 90 to 120 Buses:

In 2021, there were 90 buses at the CBS-II. This number has now increased to 120, with 29 of them being electric buses. On the contrary, the CBS-I received only 5 electric buses in 2023.

New buses will be received

MSRTC’s regional officer (transport) Santosh Ghane said, “New buses will be received soon. Plans are in place for this. All the buses at the Central Bus Stand (CBS-I) are under 15 years old. Buses older than 15 years are not used.”
