Aurangabad, Dec 1:

The Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Aurangabad, which had been closed since March 23, reopened on December 1. Apart from Hingoli, 10 passport offices in 7 districts of Marathwada, Jalgaon, Bhusawal and Dhule have also been started from Tuesday.

Senior passport assistant Ilahi Tamboli, along with three employees of the Aurangabad postal department joined services in Aurangabad from Tuesday. An online appointment is given to the concerned from the Mumbai head office to get the passport. Only one person at a time was examined by a thermal gun and admitted only if wearing a mask. A single person was seated on a single bench following the social distance. In the last 8 months, people had to go to Nashik and Mumbai for passports.

10 passport offices starting from today

Sources said that 10 passport offices including Aurangabad, Nanded, Parbhani, Beed, Osmanabad, Jalna, Jalgaon, Latur, Bhusawal and Dhule have been started from December 1.
