Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

From the Ladsawangi gut, former chairman of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), Radhakisan Pathade, has resigned from the post of BJP tehsil president. His entry into the Shinde Sena and the filing of his nomination papers has caused a stir within the BJP. Pathade had recently resigned from the APMC post. He was expecting to receive the zilla parishad candidature from the Ladsawangi gut. However, the BJP gave the candidature to Vijay Kale, chairman of the Ladsawangi Society. Now, whether Pathade’s candidature will upset the BJP’s electoral calculations or not will be known on February 7.

From the Ladsawangi gut, the Congress party has fielded Dnyaneshwar Pathade, a young newcomer from Adgaon Sark village. Despite Ladsavangi village having more than 7,000 voters, not a single candidate from the village was given a ticket by any major party. Meanwhile, the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) has given its candidature to Babasaheb Mhaske from Hatmali.

In Ladsawangi, the family of Dr Punjab Padul has been working for the Congress party for three generations. He was the only aspirant from Ladsawangi. However, when he was offered a panchayat samiti candidature instead of a zilla parishad seat, Padul rejected it and filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the ZP election.

As almost all political parties have filed nomination papers from the Ladsawangi group, alliances and fronts have fallen apart in this constituency. However, the final electoral picture will become clear only after the withdrawal of nominations.
