Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A pedestrian was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Kamgar Chowk under MIDC Waluj Police Station limits. A case was registered against the unknown driver on Saturday.

According to police, complainant Mirabai Jadhav (45), a farmer from Bhandarwadi in Renapur tehsil of Latur district, stated that her husband, Laxman Gopinath Jadhav, was walking from Kamgar Chowk towards Painter Chowk around 3 pm on the 15th when a speeding vehicle, driven rashly and negligently, struck him. He sustained serious injuries and died during treatment. The driver fled the scene. Further investigation is underway.
