A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding motorcycle while crossing the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Pune highway at Bhendala on Sunday around 7 am.

The deceased has been identified as Krishna Raut (48, Kaigaon in Gangapur tehsil). According to information, Raut worked as a cook at a hotel in Bhendala.
