Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Assistant Commissioner of Police Sagar Deshmukh emphasised that just as mythological stories have shaped the identity of India as a nation, inspirational stories play a vital role in moulding an individual's personality and character.

He was speaking at a storytelling contest organised at the Mahatma Phule Auditorium, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, on Wednesday as part of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary celebration.

Acting Registrar Dr Ganesh Manza presided over the event. Director of Student Development Board Dr Kailas Ambhure and judges Genu Shinde, Rajendra Gahal and Vaishali Sabde were present on the dais.

ACP Deshmukh said that one should nurture the dream of achieving something in life by listening to inspirational stories. He also said that police officers too have many stories and encouraged people to learn about them. In his presidential address, Dr Ganesh Manza said that a person's nature and what is going on in their mind can be understood from the expressions on their face.
