Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) will declare the selection list of Ph D admissions next month.

It may be noted that the university conducted Ph D Entrance Test (PET)-2024 on October 3 while its result was declared on October 15. A total of 9,166 candidates took the test while more than 2,000 qualified the PET. Also, around 1,824 youths who qualified the national level examinations like the National Eligibility Test (NET) were given exemption from the PET.

Nearly 3,825 candidates were aspirants for the second round of admissions. The university called these candidates for the subject-wise presentation before the Research and Recognition Committee (RRC) between February 4 to March 4.

According to sources, there are 1500 seats vacant with Ph D research guides within the jurisdiction of the university.

After the scrutiny of the documents and evaluation RRC presentation, Bamu will declare selection for the Ph D admissions by April end. There is a 30 per cent weightage for RRC present while 70 pc for PET.

The students will be given admission to the Ph D on the basis of a merit list.

The administration may release the list of vacant seats before the declaration of the final selection list of candidates.
