Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The two-day ‘Photogeni’ Film Festival, organized by the MGM University School of Film Arts, began with 50 entries from across India, including three feature films. The inauguration ceremony was held at the University’s Chintangah Hall with invited guests.

The film Nirvana was screened as the opening film. Fifteen awards will be presented to films and artists across various categories. Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam acknowledged the students for organizing the festival. Organizer Nilesh Raut outlined his vision for the festival, noting that participation from filmmakers across India may increase in future editions. Department head Dr Shiv Kadam stated that the festival provides students an opportunity to learn about different aspects of the film industry.
