Aurangabad, May 5:

The Supreme Court, pronounced the order on the Maratha reservation on Wednesday morning, and the Maratha Kranti Morcha agitators Ramesh Kere Patil and Appasaheb Kudhekar started agitation at Kranti Chowk immediately. As the number of agitators was increasing, the Kranti Chowk police arrested the agitators. They were released after some time after serving notices.

The agitators started agitation stating that the leaders in the power and opposition have not taken any efforts for preserving the Maratha reservations. They cheated the Maratha Community and hence they have initiated this self-realization agitation, said Kudhekar and Kere Patil.

When both of them started the agitation, Datta Ghugre, Samashan Shinde, Santosh Shinde and others also joined them. Considering the increasing number of agitators, as per the directives of the DCP Nikesh Khatmode Patil, PI G H Darade, PI Amol Deokar, PSI Mahadev Gaikwad, Yogesh Naik and their team arrested the agitators and took them to the Kranti Chowk police station. All of them were released after some time after serving notices to them. In the backdrop of the Supreme Court’s decision, a huge police bandobast was deployed at Kranti Chowk.
