Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Police commissioner Pravin Pawar felicitated Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city police personnel who won 24 medals at the 36th Maharashtra State Police Sports Competition held in Mumbai from April 20 to 27.

The team secured six gold, five silver and 13 bronze medals. Gold medals in wrestling, athletics and powerlifting were won by Sonali Pawar, Shrunkhala Ratnaparkhi, Sita Dhakne and Shital Jonwal. Silver medal winners in wrestling and judo included Rupali Rane, Priyanka Narwade and Vikash Jadhav. Bronze medals in volleyball, basketball, shooting, taekwondo and weightlifting were won by Sunil Nair, Akhil Momin, Shivaji Shinde, Altaf Pathan, Akash Kholbal, Vijay Gade, Devendra Ghate, Shivam Gawai, Saurabh Dilpe, Vaibhav Zhine, Numesh Pimple, Sandipan Gawali, Purvaraj Aher, Sangam Binhade, Gopichand Dongarjal, Mansi Shirke, Ashwini Yadh and Swati Gadekar. PSI Satish Mutyal, sports chief Raju Gunawat and Asif Shaikh were also honoured. DCP (Headquarters) Sharmishtha Gharage Walawalkar delivered the introductory speech. DCP (Crime) Ratnakar Nawale, Pankaj Atulkar, Prashant Swami and ACPs were present.
