Aurangabad, Dec 23:

A meeting of the bank officers and security agencies was held at the Police Commissionerate on Wednesday. Under the guidance of CP Dr Nikhil Gupta, ACP (Special Branch) Ashok Bankar directed the officers about the measures to be taken for the security in the banks and ATM centres.

Considering the increasing cases related to the banks and breaking of the ATM centres, Bankar issued some guidelines to the officers of the banks and the security agencies. He said that the banks should keep the information of all the customers and follow the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) about the physical security and data security. The details of the security guards should be checked and should always keep co-ordination with them. The doors of the ATC centres should be made in such a way so that only one person can enter through it at a time. The walls of the ATM centres should be six inches thick, there should be parking facility and CCTV should be installed there.

Due to the Covid crisis and unemployment due to it, it is observed that the gold loan is taken from the private financial companies in large quantity. Hence, the agencies should review the CCTV and alarming systems. The gold loan should be provided only after confirmation of the identity and proper checking, Bankar advised.

Around 80 officers from the banks and security agencies were present for the meeting.
