Police raided Sagar Lodging Hotel near Goodyear Chowk in Waluj Industrial Area on Thursday night at around 9 pm and arrested two women and the hotel manager for involvement in prostitution.

Acting on a tip-off about illegal activities at the hotel, police sent a decoy customer to confirm the allegations. Once the signal was given, officers stormed the premises, where they found two women from Pune engaged in prostitution. The police arrested hotel manager Omkar Rajesh Swami and sent the two women to a women’s rehabilitation center. Based on a complaint by woman police officer Suman Pawar, a case was registered at MIDC Waluj police station, and the manager was taken into custody. The operation was conducted under the guidance of ACP Sanjay Sanap by a team including PI Rameshwar Gade, PSI Sopan Narle, constable Keshav Kale, driver Suresh Kalwane and female police officers. Inspector Gade is leading the further investigation.
