Following the municipal elections, corporators from various political parties have been elected. These parties are required to register their respective groups with the Divisional Commissioner. In this regard, the Divisional Commissioner on Tuesday issued a letter directing all Municipal Commissioners to ensure that political parties complete the registration of their group leaders. The letter states that parties must submit documents including a recommendation letter for the group leader’s registration, proof of convening the group meeting and acknowledgment of notices issued to members, a resolution regarding the selection of the group leader, the group’s rules, and a copy of the party constitution. It was also noted that after the election of 115 corporators, their names have been published in the Government Gazette.
