Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has decided to fill the posts of Female Medical Officer and Law Officer on a contract basis from the university fund. Hundreds of staff members, including teachers, officers and employees with their families, stay in the city campus.

Also, more than 750 female students reside in various hostels of the university currently. There is one health centre which lacks a lady doctor, which is necessary for the family members of the staff.

Considering this, the proposal was submitted during the Management Council meeting held on February 13 under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari. During the meeting, it was decided to appoint candidates to both these posts with consolidated salaries from the university fund. Accordingly, the post of Female Medical Officer will be filled at the University Health Centre.

Dr Anand Somwanshi is presently working as the full-time Health Officer. The post of Law Officer has been vacant since Smita Chavare, who was recruited as a Law Officer in MHADA in 2018, left the position. Direct interviews for both posts will be conducted on March 17.

The consolidated monthly salaries for these posts will be Rs 30,000 and Rs 70,000, respectively. “Eligible and interested candidates are requested to attend the direct interview with their original documents,” said Dr Prashant Amritkar, Registrar of the university.
