To strengthen uninterrupted and quality power supply in the Cidco N-4 area, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has upgraded the capacity of its 33 kV substation by commissioning a new 10 MVA power transformer on Sunday. The transformer was inaugurated by Minister of State for Renewable Energy Atul Save, bringing relief to nearly 25,000 consumers in Cidco and Garkheda.

Earlier, the substation operated with one 10 MVA and three 5 MVA transformers. With rising demand, MSEDCL upgraded one 5 MVA transformer to 10 MVA under the Chief Minister Solar Agricultural Feeder Scheme 2.0. The total combined capacity of the substation has now increased to 30 MVA, ensuring smoother and uninterrupted supply. The upgrade will primarily benefit residents of Cidco N-2, N-3, N-4, Thakrenagar, Jaybhavaninagar, Mayanagar, Gurusahani Nagar, Parijatnagar and Spandan Nagar. The inauguration was attended by chief engineer Pavan Kumar Kachhot, superintending engineer Manish Thakre, executive engineer Mahendra Deshmukh and other officials.
