Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Amid peak summer, the city is witnessing frequent power outages, leaving residents struggling in the heat. Power supply disruptions are being reported daily from one area or another.

In Kailasnagar, Bhavani Nagar and Gandhi Nagar, power fluctuated four times between 6 pm and 8 pm on Monday. Similarly, in Kranti Chowk and Ajabnagar, electricity was disrupted and restored nearly eight times during the day.

In Kailasnagar and Bhavani Nagar, power supply was cut off at 6 pm and restored after half an hour. However, outages continued intermittently three more times until 8 pm. Despite repeated complaints to MSEDCL, residents said there has been no significant improvement.

Citizens from Pundlik Nagar and Matoshri Nagar also reported frequent power cuts on Monday. In Kranti Chowk and Ajabnagar, the issue has persisted for the past four days. On Sunday night, these areas faced a power outage lasting nearly an hour.

Similar situations are being reported across the city, with authorities citing technical faults and ongoing maintenance work as reasons. However, residents have expressed growing dissatisfaction over the frequent disruptions.

Cable fault

A fault in a 33 kV cable affected power supply in Kailasnagar and Bhavani Nagar. However, MSEDCL officials said that the load was shifted promptly to restore supply.
