Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Frequent power outages in eight to ten colonies around the Akashvani area have left nearly 15,000 residents struggling for the past month. With temperatures soaring, the erratic electricity supply has added to the hardship, forcing citizens to endure long hours without power in extreme heat.

A delegation of public representatives met officials of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited on Tuesday and raised the issue. Officials assured that load on various distribution points (DPs) would be reduced from Wednesday.

Under the leadership of BJP city district president Kishor Shitole, corporators from Prabhags 19, 20 and 21 met engineer Manish Thakre. Areas affected include Nathnagar, Arihantnagar, Vishwabharati Colony, Trimurti Chowk, Balajinagar, Shivshankar Colony, Shrikrishnanagar and Bhanudasnagar. Power cuts lasting four to five hours, both during day and night, have caused severe inconvenience.

Residents demanded uninterrupted power supply. Officials, including executive engineer Deshmukh, Prasad Mahatole and assistant engineer Patil, were present.
