Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The office of the Divisional Deputy Director (DDD)-Education launched an investigation after fake signatures of the DDD were used to grant personal approvals and staff sanctions.

The Shalarth scam in the Nagpur division has been making waves across the state, prompting the School Education Department to appoint an SIT to investigate staffing pattern approvals, Shalarth IDs, and employee appointments statewide.

Following this, a case came to light where an education society in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar forged the signature of the then DDD to grant personal approval for a grant-based promotional transfer of assistant teachers in a junior college.

An organisation filed a complaint with the office of DDD and a preliminary investigation has confirmed that the appointment is fraudulent and the outward numbers do not match office records. An inquiry is also underway into where the personal approval and other related documents were used.

DDD Kailas Datkhil said, "A preliminary inquiry has confirmed that the relevant documents are fake. If anyone has created fake documents in the name of the office, criminal cases will be filed against those responsible after the probe."
