Marketing director Sanjay Kadam has ordered an in-depth inquiry into 50 complaints filed by traders against the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at Jadhavwadi. During his visit on Wednesday, Kadam said complaints of a serious nature that are not sub judice will be investigated through a specially appointed committee.

A three-hour meeting was held at the district deputy registrar’s office at Kranti Chowk after the Aurangabad Merchants Association submitted detailed representations alleging administrative lapses. Association president Harish Pawar and secretary Rakesh Jain raised issues including demolition of the sale hall and alleged illegal land transactions. Key concerns discussed included the deadlock over shifting transactions to Jadhavwadi, rising encroachments, lack of parking planning, alleged irregular construction, inadequate facilities and delays in administration. Kadam directed district deputy registrar Smruti Jadhav to classify complaints into three categories cases pending before courts, local issues under municipal corporation and market committee jurisdiction, and serious matters requiring inquiry. APMC chairman Ram Shelke, former chairman Radhakishan Pathade, trader representatives and members of various associations attended. Kadam said civic issues such as drinking water, security, CCTV and drainage must be resolved locally, while serious complaints will be examined in the next meeting.
