Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A procession of the portrait of Chhatrapati Shivaji was taken out at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on Wednesday to celebrate Shiv Jayanti.

The procession started after Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari garlanded the portrait of Shivaji Maharaj. It moved forward amidst the sound of drums, cymbals and slogans.

Hundreds of students participated in the procession from the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar to the statue of Shivaji.

The girls' team presented eye-catching lezims and added colour to the procession. Scholar Dr Prakash Pawar, Pro-VC Walmik Sarwade, Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar, Dr Kailas Ambhure, Dr Rajesh Ragade and others were present.
