Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Metropolitan Region Development Authority has initiated a GIS-based survey of villages in the metropolitan region to ensure comprehensive future development and the provision of infrastructure. For this purpose, a consultant agency has been appointed, and all concerned departments have been directed to provide accurate data, Metropolitan commissioner and divisional commissioner Jitendra Papalkar instructed on Thursday.

A presentation of the report was held at the Divisional Commissioner’s office under the chairmanship of Papalkar. Zilla Parishad CEO Ankit and metropolitan planner Harshal Baviskar, among others, were present.

The authority has undertaken the task of preparing detailed reports and current-status maps through GIS by conducting an in-depth analysis of physical, social, and economic infrastructure across 311 villages in five tehsils Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Phulambri, Gangapur, Paithan, and Khuldabad in the district. For this project, P. N. Shidhore Civil Engineers (India) Private Limited has been appointed as the consultant agency.
