PSBA pre school and Agnibaaz Army School clinch top honours in LTCC pre-primary championship 2026

Lokmat Times Campus Club organised the Interschool Pre-Primary Championship 2026 on February 20 and 21 at Lokmat Bhavan, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. More than 20 schools from across the city participated enthusiastically in the two-day event, which featured competitions for nursery, jr kg and sr kg students.

Lokmat Times Campus Club has been encouraging young school students through innovative competitions at city and state levels. Continuing this legacy, the Campus Club organised competitions for pre-primary students this year, which were conducted under two categories, track events and onstage events.

The championship commenced with track events on February 20. Competitions such as cap race for nursery students, relay race for Jr kg students and PT drill for Sr kg students were conducted. Tiny tots displayed remarkable energy, coordination and team spirit through fun-filled yet competitive races.

On February 21, onstage events including fancy dress for nursery students, storytelling for Jr kg students and bollywood dance for Sr kg students were held.

After the completion of all events, a prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the winners.

PSBA Pre School, Garkheda and Agnibaaz Army School jointly emerged as the overall championship winners, while St Lawrence School secured the runner-up position.

Consolation: Dnyanada English School (T-Point) and SBES Centenary School

The competitions were judged by Anil Nile and his team from the Athletics Association, who guided and encouraged the young participants throughout the events. The nursery and kindergarten students impressed everyone with their enthusiasm, innocence and willingness to participate, turning the playground into a vibrant arena of cheers and excitement.

On February 21, onstage events witnessed confident and creative performances by the students.

Experts from various fields were invited as judges for the onstage competitions, including amateur drama artist, writer and entrepreneur Anjal Kulkarni, fashion design educator Rita Kirtishahi, professional choreographer and teacher at a deaf and dumb school Shumbham Nisargan, and Bharatnatyam teacher and dancer Sakshi Katekar.

Students displayed confidence, creativity and stage presence in their performances, making the event lively and memorable.
