Aurangabad, March 2:

Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a PSI from Pishor Police Station red-handed on Tuesday while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an accused booked in a POCSO Act. The PSI is identified as Ranjit Gangadhar Kesale (36).

According to details, a case was registered against the complainant about child sexual abuse with the police Station. PSI Kesale was investigating the case.

Child abuse case accused requested the PSI to submit the report of favouring him in the court. Kesale demanded Rs 20,000 from the accused who lodged a complaint with ACB.

The ACB personnel verified the complaint through two panchas. The PSI made it clear before the panchas that the accused would have to pay Rs 20,000 bribe. Later, PSI smelt a rat and did not take the amount.

Finally, police inspect Ganesh Dhokrat, and employees detained Kesale from Pishor Naka and registered a case against him with Pishor Police Station.
