Aurangabad, Dec 28:

Setting an excellent example of community policing, the Pundliknagar police started English Speaking and grammar classes for the poor students from the slums of Pundliknagar.

The initiative was taken by API of Pundliknagar police station, Ghansham Sonawane called the English expert S P Jawalkar to conduct the classes. API Sonawane’s son has also been enrolled in the classes.

The needy students from the slums faced severe problems due to the online education as many of the students did not had smart phone or faced the connectivity problems, during the Corona crisis. The schools were also closed for almost 10 months now.

Sonawane said, I faced severe problems while communicating in English. Hence, I decided that these students should not face the similar problems while they go out of the state. Hence, I planned to start the coaching for the students living in the slums, he said.

The classes was started on Sunday while 12 students attended the classes. Police have understood their social responsibility and started this 10 days course in which the students will be imparted training in personality development, communication skills, collaborative learning, good habits, exercises and other aspects, Jawalkar said.
