Chhatrapati Sambhajiangar: A shocking incident came to light on Saturday outside an undergraduate examination centre in Khokadpura, where the question paper of B Com reached students' mobile phones even before the examination began. In connection with this incident, the mobile phones of 10 students were seized.
It may be noted that Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has been holding the B.Com examination since April 9. The schedule of the 'Direct Taxes' paper of B.Com Third Year was scheduled from 2 pm to 5 pm today.
Some people noticed that the question paper of the concerned subject had already arrived on the mobile phones of certain students outside the centre before the paper started.
During the inspection, suspicious messages and photos of the question paper were found on some students' phones. Mobile phones of some students were seized. A thorough investigation of the seized mobile phones is underway to find out how the question paper was leaked.
Director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation of Bamu, Dr B N Dole, said that the incident of the question paper going viral on students' mobile phones before the examination had come to light. “A committee is being formed to investigate this matter. The root cause of the incident will be identified and action will be taken against those responsible,” he said.
