Recruitment process for registrar’s post to begin today

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The post of Registrar will also be filled at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in the ongoing recruitment process. The post has been held by the in-charge for almost four years.

The university will publish an advertisement for the post of Registrar on February 27. The aspirants will be able to apply online up to March 27. The hard copy of the application submitted online will have to be submitted to the Establishment Department by April 4.

Meanwhile, Dr Jayashree Suryavanshi of the Department of Commerce was working as the full-time Registrar from March 18, 2020, to October 10, 2022.

Later, Dr Bhagwan Sakhale from the Department of Chemistry worked as the Acting Registrar from October 10, 2022, to December 29, 2023. During his tenure, the elections of the Boards and authorities were also held. Dr Prashant Amrutkar, a senior professor in the Department of Political Science, has been working as the in-charge Registrar since January 19, 2024.

Interviews were held for the posts of Director of the Examination Board and Registrar in May 2025. Dr B. N. Dole was selected as the director. However, no one was qualified for the post of Registrar.

So, a new advertisement is being issued now. The process will be implemented under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor, Dr Vijay Phulari.
