District Collector Vinay Gauda G C has directed authorities to register cases against anti-social elements causing harassment to industries in the district’s industrial estates. Taking cognisance of issues raised by entrepreneurs regarding roads, streetlights, water supply, power substations and security concerns, he said the administration is positive about resolving the problems on priority and instructed all concerned departments to take immediate action.

The directions were issued during a meeting of the District Industry Mitra Committee held at the district planning hall on Monday. General manager of the district industries centre Karuna Kharat, additional chief executive officer Vasudev Solanke, municipal deputy commissioner Lakhichand Chavan, National Highways superintending engineer Ashish Devkar, deputy commissioner of police Ratnakar Navale, and representatives of industrial associations including Dushyant Athavale, Rajendra Chaudhary and Rajesh Manthari were present.

Increase police patrolling

Addressing complaints about harassment by anti-social elements in certain areas, the Collector instructed officials to enhance CCTV surveillance and police patrolling and to promptly register offences against offenders. He also directed that speed breakers on roads within industrial estates be installed strictly as per prescribed norms.
