Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Maharashtra State Council of Examination, which revised the school scholarship examination pattern from 2026, has started registration. The last date of school and candidates' registration for the test with a regular fee is February 28.

It be noted that MSCE conducts the Pre-Upper Primary (PUP) test for standard Vh students and the Pre-Secondary Scholarship (PSS) examination for standard VIII students to assist meritorious students from the economically weaker section.

However, the Council has announced a revised structure for scholarships, effective from 2026. Under the new pattern, students of Classes IV and VII will take the scholarship test. From the 2026-27 academic session onwards, these exams will be held annually for the respective grades. The council will hold both tests in all districts on April 26.

The notification for the examination was already issued recently. The guidelines and information have already been made available for registration. The last date of registration was February 13. Following the requests from the schools and parents, the last date has been extended up to February 28.
