Aurangabad, Nov 4:

Online registration for Pragati Scholarship Scheme for girl students has begun.

Under the scheme, each selected student will get Rs 50,000 scholarship. A girl candidate who has taken admission to first-year degree or diploma course through the centralised admission process in any All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institution is eligible to apply for it.

The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 8 lakhs. The objective of the scheme empowerment of women” by providing knowledge, skills, and confidence.

Meanwhile, the AICTE appointed Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) as the nodal agency to implement the scheme across the State which scholarship quota of 1177 students.

A total of 624 girl students of diploma and 553 students of degree will be selected from the State. For details, one may visit the national scholarship portal.
