Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) has issued a 24-hour notice to political figures to remove unauthorised hoardings and banners. These small and big hoardings and giant-size banners have been erected in large numbers on electric poles, road sides, public spaces, and other hazardous or high-risk locations across the city.

The administration has warned that if the hoardings are not removed voluntarily within 24 hours, criminal cases will be filed against the responsible parties. Violations will be prosecuted under Section 3 of the Maharashtra Prevention of Property Defacement Act, 1995, Sections 244 and 245 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949, and any instances where unauthorised hoardings or banners cause injury, accidents, or pose a threat to public safety will also attract legal action against the individuals or organisations responsible.
