Aurangabad, Jan 3: The road construction works in Marathwada through
Public Works Department (PWD), National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) are going on fast
pace.
Divisional commissioner Sunil Kendrekar took a review meeting of road works and pending cases of land acquisition. He instructed the revenue machinery to dispose of the pending land acquisition cases and remove hurdles of road constructions.
The process of land measurement is underway at some places. A network of roads being developed through three chief machineries PWD, NHAI and MSRDC.
The highest number of roads are being constructed in Nanded district. The land would be acquired for roads- Ardhapure to Himayatnagar (64 km), Barasgaon Rahati (52 km), Bhokar to Sarsam (32 km), in Nanded. The roads from Sarsam to Kothari (57 km), Kothari to Dhanoda (56.8 km), Usmannagar to Kundral (52 km), Kundral to Vazar (46.52 km), and Nanded to Jalkot (65.95 km) will be constructed.
In Osmanabad, the 39.82 km road between Naldurga to Akkalkot will be developed, while in Latur, it will be Renapur Phata to Pangaon (20.2 km), Latur to Renapur Phata (21.75 km), Jalkot to Tongri (45.55 km). The officers were instructed to expedite the land acquisition process for completing the road works on time.
Deputy commissioner Pandurang Kulkarni, PWD chief engineer Dilip Ukirde, Salunke from MSRDC, project director of NHAI Ajay Gadekar were present.
*A’bad-Sillod-Fardapur road to be completed*
A total of 11.20 km road will be developed between Aurangabad to Sillod and Paithan-Shiroor, 32 km road from Sillod to Fardapur. A 88 km long road will be developed from Bhokardan to Hasnabad in Jalna. The PWD will construct a road between Shiroor and Paithan in Beed, Shiroor to Kharda (42.5 km), Lokhandi Sawargaon to Renapur Phata (38.27 km), Kharwandi to Rajuri (6.30 km).
