Aurangabad, Jan 22:

Strict vigilance is being maintained in Aurangabad district after bird flu was reported in Parbhani and Beed districts. The report sent to the laboratories in Pune and Bhopal regarding the death of hens in Paithan has come negative. Therefore, the order of the alert zone has also been postponed. However, the administration is vigilant, informed the deputy commissioner of Animal Husbandry Prashant Chaudhary.

Vigilance is being taken all over the district in the wake of bird flu. The concerned have been informed, and nine quick response teams have been set up. Some hens had died at Amarapura Waghundi in Paithan taluka. Samples were sent to the laboratories in Pune and Bhopal for examination. The animal husbandry department received the reports of these laboratories on Thursday, and it has come out negative. The alert zone order has also been suspended following the report. It is now clear that there is no bird flu in the district. Therefore, citizens should eat chicken and eggs without any fear, appealed Chaudhary.
