Residents of Cidco N-3 and N-4 have voiced sharp anger over worsening traffic congestion and irregular garbage collection, alleging waste is now lifted only once in four to five days instead of on alternate days. Accumulated garbage has led to foul odour and sanitation concerns, they said, despite repeated complaints. Citizens questioned why problems persist despite new garbage vehicles, a sizeable civic budget and workforce. Senior citizens are reportedly being asked to dump waste directly into vehicles. Residents also flagged lack of accountability, stating fines are imposed on citizens but not on erring officials. Social activist Rahul Ingale demanded immediate restoration of daily collection and effective ground-level implementation, while Dr Dilip Dange criticised irregular services and alleged disrespectful behaviour of sanitation staff, calling for urgent corrective measures.
