Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Directorate of Tourism (DoT) has begun inspecting resorts, tourism villas, farmhouses, and apartments located at tourist spots and along tourism routes. On Wednesday, the inspection team visited 24 tourism establishments in the Daulatabad and Ellora areas. All these establishments are currently operating without registration and have been instructed to register with the DoT.

Tourism businesses, including resorts, villas, farmhouses, and apartments along tourist routes, are now required to register with the DoT. Establishments that fail to register will be considered unauthorised and subject to action. The inspections are being conducted under the guidance of deputy director (DoT) by a team led by assistant district tourism officers and tourism assistants. The team will continue inspections in the Daulatabad and Ellora areas until Saturday.

On-site registration at farmer’s bund

During the inspection drive, a positive initiative was also taken. A registration for an agricultural tourism centre was completed directly at a farmer’s bund in Ellora, marking a step forward in promoting farm-based tourism.
