Aurangabad, July 13:

The finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has allocated the following work to Dr Bhagwat Karad, Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect on Tuesday.

MoS Dr Karad will be looking after all matters pertaining to the department of financial services (DFS), department of investment and public asset management (DIPAM) and department of public enterprises (DPE). Further, all matters where the President of India is the appointing and disciplinary authority shall be submitted to the finance minister through the MoS. The following matters will be disposed of at the level of Mos. All matters relating to unstarred parliament questions, assurances, special mentions, laying the annual reports, rules and regulations in Rajya Sabha (RS) and Lok Sabha (LS). Authentication of papers and notifications required to be laid in RS and LS, matters relating to official language, all VIP references other than those received from prime minister, cabinet ministers and chief ministers of states. The work of DIPAM including recruitment rules of group B and C employees and amendments thereof. All matters pertaining to a group of ministers, all budget related matters, matters pertaining to financial sector regulators and all VIP references received from the PM, cabinet ministers and chief ministers of states, cases of urgency, sensitivity and the issues with the approval of the finance minister.
