Aurangabad, May 6:

The petitioner Vinod Patil on Thursday informed that the decision of the Supreme Court on the cancellation of the Maratha reservation will be challenged through a review petition, as the court has not considered many important facts, on Thursday.

Patil said, we are fighting the judicial fight for the past several days, but the Supreme Court on Wednesday cancelled the Maratha reservation. After considering the decision given yesterday and reading the order, we realized that the court has not shown positivity on some of the facts. Hence, under the right to present the review petition within 30 days, we will bring some important facts to the notice of the court and we hope that the Act of the Maharashtra Government on Maratha reservations can sustain, he said.

The review petition will focus that the EWS reservation, 52 percent reservation in Maharashtra and more than 50 percent reservation in the other states clarify that the more than 50 percent reservation limit has already been exceeded in India.

More than half of the statistic of the Backward Classes Commission is government. As per the rights of the commission, it has mentioned the degradable economic condition of the community.

The solicitor general of India has earlier clarified in the court that the right of given reservations to any social unit rests on the states. The union law minister had also supported this Act. All these issues need to be clarified and hence the review petition will be submitted within 30 days, Patil said.
