Aurangabad, June 20:

An auto-rickshaw driver robbed a tractor agency owner when he returned to city from Ahmednagar near Mahalaxmi Temple on Nagar Road on Saturday at around 3.15 am. The driver took away his two mobile phones, Rs 55,000 cash.

According to the police, Samadhan Vishwanath Tayade (40, Auditors Society, Mayur Park) runs a tractor agency. He came from Ahmednagar to the city on Saturday at around 3 am and he took an auto-rickshaw from Oasis Chowk to go to Harsul. The driver when came near Mahalaxmi Temple threatened Tayade and took his two mobile phones amounting Rs 42,000 and Rs 55,000 cash, all amounting Rs 1.57 lakh and then fled away from the scene. Later, Tayade went to the Cantonment police station and lodged a complaint.
