Indian industries must now focus on expansion to remain competitive in the global market, said noted industrialist Rishikumar Bagla. He emphasized that optimization, automation, and large-scale production are essential to compete globally. Adoption of advanced technologies, robotics, and automation can significantly enhance productivity and operational efficiency, he added.

Bagla was speaking at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Marathwada Zonal Annual Meeting 2026, held on March 7 at a city hotel. The conference was organised on the theme “Transforming Marathwada: Accelerating Growth through Collaboration and Competitiveness.”

Mayor Sameer Rajurkar, who attended as the chief guest, urged stakeholders to work collectively to strengthen infrastructure, improve civic services, and develop the city into a progressive industrial and investment hub. CII Marathwada Zone chairman Prashant Narwade highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by the organisation during the year. The CII Marathwada Zone Annual Report for 2025–26 was also released on the occasion by the mayor and other dignitaries.
